Attorney General Announces Investigation into President's Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Ties

On Friday, Pam Bondi designated interim US attorney Jay Clayton to oversee an inquiry into political adversaries of the President and their links with the late financier. This move came hours after Trump directed her to launch the probe.

During an announcement, Bondi praised Clayton as “a highly skilled and reliable legal expert”. The official added, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”

This action appears to contradict a July memo from federal authorities which declared that the Epstein files lacked grounds for additional investigations. As per the document, authorities “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

Trump Demands Scrutiny of Democrats in the Epstein Matter
